1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using LumoSearch Cloud ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
LumoSearch Cloud provides a hosted full-text search API. You can upload documents, create search indexes, and query them via our REST API. The open-source LumoSearch engine is licensed separately under the MIT License.
3. Account Registration
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API keys and account credentials. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
4. Usage Limits & Fair Use
Each plan includes specific limits on documents, search requests, and upload sizes. If you exceed your plan limits, the Service may restrict functionality until you upgrade. We reserve the right to throttle or suspend accounts that abuse the Service or use it in a way that degrades performance for other users.
5. Payment & Billing
Paid plans are billed monthly through Lemon Squeezy. Prices are in USD. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
6. Your Data
You retain ownership of all documents and data you upload to the Service. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content. We will not sell, share, or use your data for purposes other than providing the Service.
7. Service Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages resulting from service interruptions, data loss, or security breaches beyond our reasonable control.
8. Prohibited Use
You may not use the Service to store or index illegal content, infringe on intellectual property rights, attempt to reverse-engineer the Service, or interfere with other users' access to the Service.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. For questions, contact legal@lumosearch.com.
